Live Avocat supports entrepreneurs and event industry professionals in anticipating and resolving their legal issues.
Live Avocat stands out through a dual expertise: extensive operational experience in the organisation of major events, combined with strong command of business law as applied to the events industry. This unique approach enables the firm to provide each client with pragmatic legal solutions tailored to real-world conditions and the specific challenges of their business.
Before being admitted to the Annecy Bar, Maître Piegay spent more than ten years supporting companies in their strategic, commercial and international development, both in France and abroad. This first career gave him a sharp understanding of the economic, organisational and contractual issues faced by private and institutional stakeholders, particularly in complex, multi-partner environments.
For the past fifteen years, Maître Piegay has devoted himself to the design, promotion and organisation of major events, mainly in the fields of sport, culture and social engagement. As founder of Livevent, he developed large-scale projects bringing together diverse audiences and numerous partners, including local authorities, public institutions, sponsors, federations and technical service providers.
Among his most significant achievements, he created the Company Cup, which became the leading multi-sport corporate challenge in France and Switzerland, bringing together up to 5,300 participants from 150 companies across 22 sporting disciplines.
As President of the Live Peace association, he initiated the international Live Peace Concert, organised in collaboration with ten Nobel Peace Prize laureates. This highly symbolic project required international coordination, rigorous management of governance, security, image rights and intellectual property issues, as well as ongoing dialogue with leading public and private institutions.
With more than 30 events each gathering over 5,000 participants, Maître Piegay has dealt with a wide range of legal issues specific to major sporting and cultural events, including administrative authorisations, relations with local authorities and state services, security, insurance arrangements, partnership and sponsorship agreements, intellectual property management, image rights exploitation, regulatory compliance and risk management.
This dual background — both operational and legal — now enables him to fully understand the constraints, expectations and realities faced by major event organisers, and to support his clients at every stage of their projects.
